Watch live streams using sopcast

If you want to watch Cricket or Live TV Stream using Sopcast Media player, you need to install SOPCAST in your computer as a first step.

To download and install SOPCAST visit here (follow either 1 or 2):

a - http://www.sopcast.org/download/index.jsp

b - http://download.sopcast.com/download/SopCast.zip

After downloading, based on your browser you'll need to do the following:

1 - Install SOPCAST Player

2 - Open Link in Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox

3 - With Internet Explorer, you should be able to see the player load immediately. You might be required to "Allow permission to install activex control" to allow IE to configure and run Sopcast media player from within your browser.

4 - To view the player in Firefox:

You must install ActiveX plugin for FireFox to enable Sopcast WebPlayer.

Download the Plugin

download mozactivex-ff-15.xpi

The plugin mozactivex-ff-15.xpi is only for firefox version 1.5.0.x. Check the version of your firefox, if it's not 1.5.0.x, download your corresponding plugin here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213 . And you may also follow the guide on that page.

Install the Plugin

Drag and Drop the file mozactivex-ff-15.xpi into the firefox ‘s windows (version 1.5.0.x), a installation window will popup. Click button Install Now to install the plugin.

Config the Plugin

Config the plugin by enter a URL: about:config in address box of firefox, some configurations will be displayed in text window. Select the security.classID.allowByDefault and set the value to true.

Restart Firefox

Restart the firefox and visit http://www.sopcast.com/player/index.jsp# . If you have installed the SopCast WebPlayer, you can see the WebPlayer's user interface. If you have never downloaded and installed it, download it here , install it and refresh the page.

5 - Running any P2P software when watching on Sopcast is not recommended

Now you can enjoy your Live Cricket match or any other video stream/TV stream which is being broadcast on sopcast.

Note:SopCast player usually takes 1-2 minutes before it starts you to show match. In soapcast player, you have the icon in right bottom to watch it in your local media player.
